The multiple award winning York Brewery unveiled a major rebrand today in celebration of its 15th Anniversary milestone.
Following substantial investment in recent years in other areas of operations York Brewery realised it needed to update its company image in order to achieve long term sustainability for the company.
Lancaster’s award winning digital marketing agency Fat Media were brought in to examine the brand, visual identity and portfolio of drinks with a view to bring the brand in line with the 21st century.
York Brewery Managing Director Andrew Barker said: “The process gave us an opportunity to look at where we were and what we wanted to achieve, and the rebrand allows us to position ourselves as a leading independent brewer”
The redesign features elements from the existing brewery logo so as to highlight the company’s heritage and retain an ‘established’ feel whilst fine tuning the brand to reflect the premium quality of its ales. The existing tagline ‘Brewed within the City Walls’ was also retained.
“We wanted to enhance our professional image and bring consistency across our portfolio” said General Manager Andrew Whalley, North Region SIBA Council Chairman.
Further extension of the new branding is planned for rollout over the forthcoming months across all corporate material, bottled beers, pub venues and vehicle livery.
Industry guests were treated to an exclusive preview of the new branding as well as a guided tour of the brewery and a sample of their award-winning brews.
As well as the brewery, the company own four pubs across York and Leeds and is the sister company of Mitchell’s Brewery who celebrate a milestone this year of 140 years in the industry.
